What am I reading now?
Born in Kenya, I am part of Near East University Software Engineering class of '22. I enjoy creating stuff and solving social problems using tech. I travel too and read but not as much as I should.I play Chinese Backgammon, Billiards, Table Tennis and Football. Did I also mention I swim, bowl and you can't possibly defeat me in a game of poker. Okay you get it, I'm cool.

What have I been up to these last two decades?.
Currently pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering at the Near East University in Nicosia, Cyprus
Was priviledged to attend the prestigious Alliance High School in Kenya for my High School Education
The President's Award Kenya is a club in Kenya where students get to portray character excellence by involving themselves in high resilience activities such as extreme hiking and camping in the bronze and silver levels. The Gold level entails students take up a community enrichment project where they give back to society. For my gold level project, I and my group went to the Huruma Children's Home in Kenya and built for them a biogas digester, repainted the school, and donated books to the school. We also got to spend time with the children and it was a really eye-opening experience. I thereafter received the Gold Accolade from the President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta at a State House Function in Kenya
Learned how to write SQL queries to reconcile lending and recovery records for their advanced mobile crediting services by working and recording through their ETL system. It was during this time too that I fully worked on my personal project, Bambi (https://bambi.app), a social network for my school, Near East University to help students make friends and study together
Was a fellow of the Yale Young African Scholars Program held in Zimbabwe in 2016. I received a merit certificate from Yale University
Was part of the pioneer team of students at Alliance High School selected as apprentices at Mobile Decisioning Kenya to learn how Software is developed
